"I said to my agent I've got to become known to a whole group of people who don't stay up until 3 o'clock in the morning to see my films."
-Joan Fontaine, veteran Hollywood actress, on why she performed recently in the daytime soap opera, Ryan's Hope.

Ok so that's who she is Joan Fontaine! I knew she was a famous actress and I just couldn't remember her name. Thank you!

I just watched the episode where Frank met Mrs. Williams at the restaurant to discuss the contract. I thought it odd that after strongly urging Kim to have an attorney look over the contract before she signed, she basically told Frank that no changes could be made to the contract and it was either her way or the highway for Kim.
Kim, again acting like a spoiled child, gets so upset with Frank because he does not want her to sign it. She is such a drama queen girl!

Ryan's Hope had already had Sylvia Sidney and Gale Sondergaard (help! any others?) make appearances. Kim Hunter played a role on The Edge of Night around this time -- however she was on there for several months -- not a handful of episodes like Joan, Sylvia, and Gale.

Anne Revere, played Seneca's mother for a few episodes in 1977. She also played Gregory Peck's mother in Gentleman's Agreement (1947,) one of my favorite movies.

Very interesting! Thanks for posting. I always think of Joan Fontaine, first as Olivia deHavilland's sister and second as the second Mrs. de Winter in Rebecca. She really has Presence. Kathy
