This is great information. I have wondered for many years what they were doing after RH and if they were still living. I was surprised to see so many had passed away. Does anyone know if Nancy Addison was ill before she passed away? She wasn't that old! Thanks. Nancy died following a battle of several years with cancer of the adrenal glands. You're right, she wasn't very old at all. And of all the RH alums who're gone, for some reason her death seems the hardest to take.
Feel free to post with us in the future, MLB. (I'm guessing you're a baseball fan.)

I just saw the Frasier ep with Mercedes Ruehl in the elevator...
WHO was the RH actor in that scene??
I just know it's SOMEBODY <from past posts>, but it was way too quick for me to figure out...

Just reading the New York Times review of Clint Eastwood's new film, J EDGAR, about the infamous J. Edgar Hoover. Looks like Geoff Pierson has a significant supporting role as the Attorney General of the U.S. in 1919, A. Mitchell Palmer. (Note to my political friends on this board: I will NOT be going to see a film about J. Edgar Hoover!)
Meanwhile, Geoff Pierson is on the Showtime series DEXTER again this season as Deputy Chief of Police Tom Matthews. He has a recurring role and is in some but not all episodes.

I don't think the film is going to glorify JEH. I'm looking forward to it.

No, the film won't "glorify" J. Edgar Hoover. But a major Hollywood film with Leonardo DiCaprio starring in it will NEVER present even 1/10 of the ugly truths about Hoover.

Do you have any reading you would recommend about him?
Does any biography even come close?

The film has received very mixed reviews, but they all agree that the film is about the psychology of the private man and the relationship between his neuroses and his actions.
It may be interesting to speculate on sexual repression and secrecy as a cause of the world Hoover created, but,IMO, in this day and age, a film examining how an agency of the government created to protect its citizens can become an agent of oppression of those same citizens would be more valuable.

Tovah Feldshuh (Martha #1) was very briefly on USA's Law & Order Criminal Intent's series finale tonight (6/26) She also holds the record of recuring her role of Dianne Melnick on the same series, I think it was 14x on the original Law & Order. I loved the way she and Jack McCoy used to go at it. It made you wonder.......

The review I read said J. Edgar is a slow and clumsy story. One for the circular file.

Please don't tell me that Catherine Hicks played a grandmother! According to the Internet Movie Database, she is now 60 years old. I don't want to know this! Where did my youth go? Are you sure that Catherine Hicks didn't play Jennie Garth's daughter? :-)

Married at 20, I could have a child of 40, who has a child of 20, who has an infant. I always wondered about what I'd do if they all had to move in with me!

Well, it would be a real problem, Cheryl. Your husband, Mr. Fenelli, probably wouldn't want your child, your grandchild, and your infant great-grandchild all living with the two of you. And we all know that Mr. Fenelli, wonderful as he is, can be a little cranky. Especially when surrounded by a big family.
