This just keeps getting betterer and betterer. I can't believe how beautiful the plantings are. EVERYTHING really! So serene and relaxing, I can almost hear the water. I want to be sitting there with a cuppa joe right now.
Did I mention it's heading into the 100s here. Don't be surprised if a little Fia sneaks into your garden.

Fia, it is 86 and very humid here at the moment. I won't complain since you are 20 degrees beyond that, but it takes me a while in the spring to build up my heat resistance. You can come by any time. I am the driveway past the little plywood puppy sign. (The people next door used to raise chocolate labs. When they quit that business I asked them to keep the sign since that is how my friends could figure out where to turn to get to my house.)
Sorry I missed you today.

Well, I'm not sure which is worse...86 with humidity or 100 without it. I'm used to the dry heat, but don't take too well to humidity. Does the humidity go away at some point?

Yes, unfortunately not until October.

I promised some photos quite a while back. Here are two from yesterday. There is a lotus getting ready to open now. I am hoping to get in there today and jam fertilizer tablets into all of the lotus pots. Hard for me to believe that a year ago this was a big empty pit.

So beautiful with the lotus and Koi. And such a diversity of plant life!
Hard to believe a whole year has gone by.

Diane, it's absolutely beautiful! Excuse my ignorance, but is that a rose that stands out?

No roses in these photos. There is a deep red coleus at top right and the white flower at (sort of) top center is a lotus getting ready to open.
