Yes. He will hardly be able to contain his...enthusiasm.

Change, Change I don't know if Jack can handle any more--agh!!! Let's watch and see the fun if Jack loses control of his ever in control emotion.

True. His enthusiasm spread all over the apartment floor, he was so thrilled. 'Depends' for the old guy who's hopping up and down, yelling at his wife.

I'm not certain if his apartment can contain the Ryan bureau. It may become the first island to ever appear in a kitchen.

I think that Jack has a hissy fit over the bureau because it's the "icing on the cake" as they say. He feels he's bent over backwards for Mary & the Ryans wayyyy too much, going along to get along, & now THIS! I'd feel Jack was being immature about the bureau if it wasn't for the fact that it's his way of getting out his frustrations in dealing w/the "bigger picture". Mary infuriated me when she said something about Jack giving until/unless it became "inconvenient"..HUH? ? Jack got bulldozed to the alter before he was ready w/very little opportunity for input. Jack gave up a few days of his honeymoon so Mary could go comfort Prince Francis..barf! Jack sold out his professional integrity in order to have Martha's story about precious Frank "killed" (can you imagine if Nick Szabo had gotten Mary's story on Gilcrest Manor killed? She'd be shrilling her head off about it!) Mary makes me livid w/how she HAS to get her way (much like Dee, imo). If Mary can't charm someone into giving in, she'll browbeat them & especially makes poor Jack feel like the heavy if he dares to disagree (he feels like, hey, this is MARY RYAN, the perfect one...she MUST be right & I must be wrong...GRRR!)

I have to say watching the two of them is becoming absolutely emotionally exhausting for me!

I think I will offer to store the grandpa dresser at my house! I love antiques. Honestly the dresser is just going to have to sit in the middle of Jack's apartment. Since I have not seen this episode ever, I can't wait till Jack has a fit - LOLPuca - with a huge hangover at the RH Rapture/ End of Board party

Agreed, Susan. The example of the Gilcrest Manor story pulls into focus really well, doesn't it? I can hear her now! The fact -- and the root of the problem -- is Mary's enormous immaturity. She's been told since birth that she is the light of the earth, and she believes it. I feel certain there's no particular ill intent, she simply believes the things are as black-and-white simple as she thinks they are. Given time, she may have matured. Unfortunately, she didn't get that much time. Debbie

Mary is very young - I think it was mentioned she was 22? I so wanted to scream at the tv today..."never ask a man what he is thinking" the physical space in the apartment is one thing - but don't expect a guy like Jack to open up every feeling and thought he is having - when he is having it - to you and on demand. But then I recalled her age and upbringing - as a previous poster has said and I guess it makes sense. It was so funny though when the scene opened with a full screen shot of that dresser - - it just said it all! Great scene

Finding a solution to minimal storage space is hardly a reason to go beserk. Poor Mary. I love Jack, but dang, I would have pulled out one of those drawers and clobbered him with it.

Jack already offered to build new storage space for her. But with her typical impatience, she took matters into her own hands, with disastrous consequences. I don't think Mary is appearing in her best light right now.

I did something dumb like that when we were newly married, and it made Raggedy Andy very upset. We had only been in the apartment in Queens for a few weeks, and I came down with a bad sore throat and cold. Since my parents were coming to visit (about a 40 min. drive) I asked them to stop at a grocery and pick up some items we didn't have in the house. Andy thought I was implying that he couldn't take care of me, and that he should have been the one to go out for supplies. We were young and dumb -- I was 20 and he was 23. Things like that happen. On this, I can hardly blame Mary. She's never lived with someone before (and before the wedding, they were pretty much "play-acting.")
Modified to add: That dresser is ug-LEE!

LOVED the fact that Mary had all her things already IN the dresser - BEFORE they were to move it!
And what a great little hissy fit - throwing the nighties(?) all over the floor! I was surprised she didn't actually stomp her foot!

Mary is not as understanding of Jack's need to have something that is his. He wanted Mary and was willing to take her and the Ryans. He is just not used to the constant intrusion on his life that Mary thrives on. Jack has had so little control on his life and what happens to it, in it; that he has his fights at every little lose of it. The revelation today of his military life where everything you valued had to fit in a locked trunk. He has desperate need for his life to be his choice.

As he has said before and will say again, Mostly, he wants order. He'll have precious little of it, sharing a life with Mary.
