View Lyrics: make this leap Viewing lyrics for make this leap by the hunts.
i could see // i could see your heart through your eyes on that night from the balcony // how could we ever // make this leap?
you & i // caught up in wind like we were parachutes // oh how we'd fly until we hit the ground // how could we ever // make this leap? //
we were young // i used my paper telescope // to show you the stars & then win your heart // how could we ever make believe? //
i can see // i can see // i can see a sunrise // call me out from the dark cause i'm broken inside // i can see // i can see // i can see a sunrise // call me out from the dark cause i'm broken inside //
up above the static & up above the racket i hear your voice calling me out of the darkness // up above the static & up above the racket i hear your voice calling me out of the darkness //
caught up like parachutes // caught up like parachutes // oh how we'd fly caught up like parachutes // caught up like parachutes // oh how we'd fly!
you called me out from the dark & brought me into the light! // you called me out from the dark & brought me into the light //
Did one of those kids write this poetry? They look so effortless when they sing.

The Swingin' Medallions Double Shot of My Baby's Love, possibly the greatest garage-band song ever recorded.
On second thought, Louie, Louie might be THE best.

And if the stories are true, J. Edgar Hoover had an entire detail of FBI men whose job it was to listen to Louie, Louie and decrypt the actual words to discover their subversive meaning.

Well, I have heard a lot of garage bands in the years since 1967. In fact a bunch of the guys who played together in junior high now get together at my house to play old rock n roll. The group is now known as The Geezers.

I'm astounded at his voice after all the years. He still hits those high keys!

I wonder what he would have made of Kurt Cobain.

Then And now I'm astounded at his voice after all the years. He still hits those high keys! I am disillusioned to learn that the Tokens are not Zulus. That song always sounded so African to me. And I agree about the high notes. Especially coming from such a big guy.

This was the reason Marianne started this thread. In the what's cookin' box I referred to this sad song about the changing seasons. Walter Huston sang it originally (I think in a Joan Fontaine movie), and we also have the version sung by his granddaughter, Anjelica.
Yep, schmaltzy.
