Although I don't receive that channel (even double checked their list of affiliates again tonight -- we have an old TV connected to an outdoor antenna in the room we use as a office -- so tomorrow I'll probably go through the channels -- just to triple check ) I am excited for those who do (which is why I posted those threads with RH/Doctors connection --Nancy, Nana, and Elizabeth)
So, anyone watch the show?

Well, I've watched the show for four days. I don't think it stands up as well as Ryan's Hope! It fits the stereotypical picture of the soap opera from the '60s--cheesy, slow-moving, green hospital walls, etc. If I had to pick one vintage soap to watch, it would certainly be RH. However, I plan to keep watching The Doctors, if for no reason but curiosity! Some famous actor sightings: Terry Kiser who plays Dr. John Rice (Bernie in Weekend at Bernie's), James Noble who plays Dr. Bill Reynolds (Gov. Gatling in Benson), Paul Michael Glaser who played an orderly for about 20 seconds and spoke 1 sentence (Starsky in Starsky and Hutch). I'm curious as how long they keep it on the air.

So far I've watched the second episode that aired on Monday and caught the live steaming of today's (Friday) second show. Also watched the episode (on the site that is not YouTube) where Steve meets Carolee (they became one of the show's signature couples). I hope to catch the others there when I have a chance.
In RL, Carolee Campbell (Nurse Carolee Simpson) is married to actor Hector Elizando
Curious to see more of Bethel Leslie as Maggie - - I didn't watch TD when it originally aired - -but I would flip channels and remember seeing brief glimpses of Lydia Bruce as Maggie.
Was very interested in seeing Elizabeth Hubbard and Gerald Gordon another one of The Doctors signature couples. I recall it was a big deal when GH later hired him because he had been such a fan favorite on TD.

Still catching an episode here and there -- and watched today's (10/8) shows.
So glad Liz told Nick to stop calling her “Kid”
Enjoyed the Christmas episode (slide down the air duct LOL & Kris Kringle...um, I mean Sam Kringle )
Short sighting of Paul Michael Glaser (wonder if he's been seen before)
James Pritchett's (Matt) breaking the 4th wall by relaying the show's Christmas wishes to their audience
Merry Christmas!

Nila, I sent you the link in your pm box. Last I heard, they were trying to keep the link quiet-- so it won't get pulled off for copyright infringement.

I've watched every episode so far. Yes, Paul Michael Glaser was on earlier in the week, but he had less than a sentence to say. He spoke more on Friday.
Maggie is so calm. By today's standards she would probably be considered boring, but I love it. The pace is so much slower. Can't believe she left Matt for a 10-day Christmas visit with her family. Dr. Werner sure has the hots for her husband. You can see where this is going.
Yes, it was really annoying that Nick was constantly calling Liz "kid." I don't know what came before they starting airing these episodes, but there is no chemistry coming from Nick with her. For that matter there is no chemistry with him and Althea! Love Althea's calmness as well in dealing with her unplanned pregnancy.
I can see how this soap was the "comfort food" for so many. (Ryan's Hope had more action, and I love the way it centered around the family.) I hope those who watched it are able to catch it now. I also tried to search it on Daily Motion, but no luck. I don't really need it, since I watch it everyday, but I was curious. I certainly hope it takes off, and we see more vintage soaps being aired.
The hairstyles are pretty messy--mustn't have had a hairstylist on staff.

Ryan's Hope certainly had more warmth and seemed more informal
I put the Dailymotion link in you pm box.

Nick is so gruff most all of the time
When the announcer says "Stay tuned for Another World, next, in color" -- if only!

It feels like Dr. John Rice is this show's Bucky (or Bob)
I wonder about the moral clauses pertaining to unmarried pregnant hospital workers - - here it is in late 1967/early 1968 and Althea is losing her job because she is pregnant and unmarried - - and 9 years later times had changed so that was not an issue at all for Ryan's Hope's Riverside Hospital and Jill's pregnancy.
Watching this show makes me really appreciate a small cast.

Faith Catlin (Faith #1) was seen as a candy striper on today's first episode -- she didn't have any dialogue.

Wow, good catch! I had already watched and deleted my episodes, so I went through the Daily Motion link you sent me in my message box. Thanks for that!
I am so hooked on this soap. Though I never watched it in the 60s/70s/80s, it's still like putting on a comfy pair of slippers.
