I found something interesting. A year after the Merit Kara storyline which the writers admitted was their "Raiders of the Lost Ark" story, in 1983 Marvel Comics Further Adventures of Indiana Jones made a pretty obvious reference to Ryan's Hope. Here's the issue.

In it you will find a woman who opens a swank restaurant with an Egyptian theme, a man working there who is in possession of stolen artifacts, a mob boss who wants to start an illegal gambling operation in the restaurant, and it all takes place in the vicinity of Riverside Drive.
