Well, it's been along time since I've seen these epsiodes (try 1977) but I think we've entered the period of time when Bucky gets regulated to third wheel status without much of a storyline of his own. What a waste that was. He had so much more potential than just being a listening board for Pat and Seneca.

Will they come back occasionally? (This is my first time through...)

Bucky & Clem leaving was the downfall of this SOAP, those two had a lot of potential.

Speaking for my eponym, yes, it's a real shame that Bucky is a third wheel now. Such potential, squandered....

I love Bucky! I thought Faith was crazy not to have been in love with him. Plus--is Reenie gone for good?

Yes, we'll never see or even hear of Riinie (or Sam). This show has a history of dropping characters and storylines and never bringing them up again.

Yes, RH often didn't know what to do with some of its finest actors. It would have been such a great story to have Faith suddenly realize that Bucky is the one for her now that he doesn't feel the same way. Or for Siobhan to actually come to New York and fall for Clem. You know she wouldn't have been able to resist him in his fur coat.

He said that might have been interesting but he couldn't take it any longer (being on the show) and wanted out.

I think Siobhan and Bucky would've made a great couple...he'd be a grounding influence for her and she'd tap into his wild side! Of course, then we'd never have the drama of Mafio-Joe!

Bucky and Siobhan would have been a great couple. Can't you imagine how jealous Mary would have been? Johhny and Maeve would have just loved Bucky as a son-in-law; he was so into family and was already accepted as Pat's friend. He would have made Jack seem even more like a lone wolf. Mary would have been beside herself - sounds like fun television to me.

One scene I wished they had shown with Bucky...I won't totally spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but he does something anonymously for Jack, which apparently Jack never realizes Bucky is behind (although Mary figures it out). Granted, Jack was pretty obsessed with his own life at the time but it always seemed strange to me that a man with his inquisitive nature wouldn't have dug further to find out who had done him a favor or simply just wouldn't have figured it out. I would have liked to seen that moment between Jack & Bucky. Although I don't know if Jack would have thanked Bucky or yelled at him... Ellie

What a waste that was. He had so much more potential than just being a listening board for Pat and Seneca. The Buckster did have one more important function to perform -- that of playing nagging conscience to Seneca, once Dr. Prick decided that spoiler Jillian didn't really need to know who Edmund's father actually was. If it weren't for Bucky, Sennie probably never would've told the truth.
