Yesterday morning as I read my newspaper, I kept hearing a tapping sound. I thought it was the cat or dogs playing with a toy. It became increasingly distracting and annoying. But it wasn't any of my girls. I finally located the culprit outside the kitchen window. A crazy little bird was hopping about the fronds of a palm that's right outside the window and tapping on the window. It finally went away, but came back again later in the morning. Silly bird.......

Fia, do you have solar film on the window? I have it on all of my south-facing windows and the cardinals tap at their reflection endlessly. My mama cardinals are very territorial, it seems, because they look very ferocious while they are attacking the reflection.

Nope no solar film on windows. It's odd because I think it's just the same bird doing this. There are others in the palms that don't bother the window. The first time it was early in the morning and I had the kitchen light on. I thought maybe it was attracted to the light, but it came back later that morn when the light was off. Go figure.......
