Did I see hostas in the background of that last pic?
I wish I could grow those here. I see them for sell in the big box stores, but I don't know how anyone can keep them alive in this heat.

Fia, I have lots of hostas (they are easy to divide). They seem to thrive in our humid summers. Unfortunately the deer find them very appealing, so I have that tug-of-war to deal with.

First blooming waterlily for the season. It is in a kiddie wading pool on my deck. Gotta get that pond put back together quick!
Last year I had some koi in that pond and they ate (and destroyed) all of the waterlilies. The koi were moved to a different pond, so this year the lilies should do great.
