Anyone know why Jill is suddenly so adamant that she cannot represent Pat, as it would be a conflict of interest with her also representing Riverside Hospital .... yet when Seneca was facing murder charges she didn't hesitate to take his case? Given her "love" for the Ryans you'd think she'd jump right in and help Pat in any way she can. Oh wait, she did ... she went to see Frank about it.

Oh....don't forget. There are Ryans and then there are RYANS. Pat is definitely a second tier Ryan (not in my opinion you understand, just my impression of the way he is treated by Ma and Da.)

Yeah, but....Seneca??? Why stick her neck out for him unless she was already planning on bedding him at the Beach House of the Damned...

My theory is that she was mesmerized by his wacky shirts and not in her right mind. Either that or he slipped something in her tea.

Isn't a murder trial State V suspect, while Pat is facing the hospital board - the very entity Jill represents?

If Alicia files a lawsuit, that will move to a criminal court setting, I'd think. The hospital board cannot intervene in a criminal case. Especially if Angel should die. If not, and Alicia doesn't file suit but instead files a claim of gross negligence with the hospital board, then it would be right for Jill not be be involved.

It is so unreal that Pat's life has spiraled so out of control. If he could just have said NO to Delia for one out of five things she asks for, he would be in better shape now. (still seeing this as a parody of Pat and Delia-as he knew how to say 'no' to her before, and not let her cross lines, yet still make her feel 'safe and loved'. Frustrating!!

Especially if one out of the five things was marrying her. Or better yet, bedding her.

{{If he could just have said NO to Delia for one out of five things she asks for, he would be in better shape now.}} Especially if one out of the five thing was marrying her. Or better yet, bedding her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Great points, Forte! Both times you mentioned, where Pat didn't say no, have changed his life, irrevocably. Actually I don't really believe he wanted to say 'no' in Boston. But he was not into the forced marriage. To put it one wa-it was not a happy choice for him. Although his feelings toward Delia were real, his caring about her, AND being very attracted to her. (the way I saw it, anwyay.) But what a fine mess he's gotten himself into.....

The part that is irking me is that Pat made the correct diagnosis based upon the information he had. All week long while Angel was kvetching about not feeling well, she just blew it off. Then she conveniently forgot to tell Pat. And now she blames him. But he used the evidence he was presented with to diagnose. And the kid WAS hit in the head with ball, after all.
Speaking of which, Bob seems mysteriously absent these past couple of episodes. Wouldn't he be by Alicia's side??
Really enjoying these episodes, and sorry I have not been posting more. It has been an incredibly busy semester. And since I now watch the episodes on my iPad while commuting, its harder to write right away. But I am here, watching, and still enjoying this board!!! (I won't mention any thanks to any particular episode posting poster, either! But I am thinking it!)

Hi Jackie-I am glad you have a chance to post. How right you are that ANY doctor can only diagnosis a patient with the information that is provided. Period. Yes Pat is overly tired, but without knowing that Angel was not feeling up to par, previous to the head incident, I agree with you. With the info Pat had at hand, he followed through with that-he is not a mind reader after all. Felicia should have told him of Angel's prior symptoms. I too am so glad to have a chance to see what continued to unfold-after SN took RH off air. -Echo- (hope you are enjoying your busy semester. )

It's too bad no one called Alicia on that fact ~ that Angel had complained of symptoms all week and she had failed to relate that to Pat.

Except, what if she hadn't been there -- what if he had collapsed when hit by a ball when playing with friends or at school. If they couldn't reach her right away, she couldn't have been able to give his recent history before he was rushed into surgery. So he had to go with what was presented, whether or not he knew that Angel had felt sick the previous week.
But what the hey -- I'm OK with blaming Alicia anyway!

ITA Sue Ellen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cheryl, IF Felicia had not been there, like you suggested above, it would have been a different story. As is-she has been aware of Angel's complaints/symptoms and failed to mention them. It seems things are just not going Pat's way, on any level. It is a shame that primarily due to lack of sleep, the misdiagnose seems to be placed on his shoulders. Only, there are other factors, such as the symptoms that could have spelled out other possible diagnosis, never were told. Pat just can't catch a break these days!! Wow!! I just noticed I've made over 1000 posts!! So many pretty red stars! ;D !!!!!!!!! -Echo-

Hi Echo,
I agree, Pat can't catch a break these days. He won't until he breaks free of Delia's clutches.
Congratulations on making the 1,000 posts mark. I'm working hard to catch up with you.
