I Wonder...What hospital (or blood bank) collects/administers blood in 1-liter bags? Sorry, Riverside Hospital...blood comes in 500cc bags (1/2 liter) and it's usually dark
red...unless that bag of cherry Kool-Aid will help Jack's condition. ;D
Like Nell, Jack is sucking on an oxygen tubing, not an endotracheal tube. Poor guy...punctured lung, broken ribs, crushed sternum, and they stick a plain ole oxygen tubing into his mouth. Calling Rags! Hurry! Jack needs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation!
Not to mention, Alex is operating on Jack in the same room where meetings between Seneca and Roger/Jill took place at the jail. Speaking of Alex operating...does anyone besides me think it's a bad idea, especially since Alex just left Ryan's bar after enjoying some of Johnny's Irish whiskey while talking about his family's hooch operation?
Mary calls for Frank since she needs his support at 3:00 in the morning, only she can't recall the last 2 digits of his office number, which she confirms w/Maeve. Didn't Mary work as Frank's asst. campaign manager when he ran for city council? That phone # should be firmly set in her memory.
When Dee and Pat caught Frank and Jill at the beach house, many eyebrows were raised by Johnny, Maeve, Mary, etc at Frank jeopardizing his divorce from Dee. Mary contacts Frank at Jill's apt. at 2:00 a.m., meaning they were in bed. No eyebrows this time?
Mary to Maeve RE Frank: "He's coming over." ('Coming' the operative word.
)
Clem and Mary are talking in the hallway. Seneca exits the elevator and, seeing them, turns left, walks around waiting area and half-wall, up to where they are standing. Why not just turn right and walk right up to them? Much shorter distance.
When Dee calls Anne Birney for an appointment, Anne's phone is
red. When Dee arrives for the appt., Anne's phone is now
green. Plus, Anne's
rotary phone "buzzes" as though it has an intercom feature. It doesn't; rotary phones
ring...they don't buzz.
I'm confused. If Anne tells Dee that catching Frank in bed w/Jill is divorce ammo, how can she then give Dee the red light to keep seeing Roger? If both "forgiven" affairs cancel each other out, then Pat does not have to testify against Frank, does he?
Seneca and Jill are in the hallway; Seneca holding Jack's chart. Jill: "What's the news on Jack? Do you know?" Seneca: "This is his chart...it doesn't look very good." Well, nothing that a little bit of Brasso or Windex and a soft cloth won't take care of. I mean, the charts are made of cheap aluminum, Seneca. You should know that, being in an administrative position and all.
Seneca to Maeve RE Jill: "I mean, she
must have known. Getting involved with a married politician, a Catholic, a Ryan with a son and a wife. She had to have known she'd get into trouble!" 'Politician' and 'Catholic' I get...since when is a "Ryan" a noun?
If Mary is so clairvoyant when it comes to Frank's pain and troubles, why can't she pick up on Jack's mental telepathy when he unconsciously calls her name?
Faith to Pat RE Medical Society Dinner/Dance: "You'll look wonderful in a dinner jacket and a ruffled shirt." Pat: "I never had one on before." Umm...then what did you wear to Mary's wedding, Pat?
Alex allows Mary to talk to an unconscious Jack @ his bedside, then says, "if he doesn't hear you, it really doesn't matter." Then, what's the use? Actually, Mary, Jack CAN hear you...including words like 'he looks so gray,' oh honey, you look so sick,' and the best one...'open coffin.' Tact, Mary...tact.
Faith exams Jill in the ER. She untucks the back of Jill's blouse to better hear her lungs, then places the stethoscope
on top of Jill's blouse. Huh?
Who keeps moving the Ryans' parlor phone around? One day it's on the bookcase; next day it's on a side table near the sofa; then back on the bookcase...
"Repititous Dee" to Pat RE people you love, as she lays her head on his chest: "you want to be with them, you want to share things with them, you want to be with them."
A 2-year old toddler's "favorite sandwiches" are cream cheese and olive? Oh give me a break! I guess onions and ice cream is LJ's favorite dessert?
Actually, Dee and Jill are very much alike...they each have two men fighting for their affections. Heck, Dee has two doctors wooing her! You go, girl!
There ya go, Dee...put a piece of cream cheese-and-olive sandwich on an overturned sand bucket in a sand box. No worries there! Actually, probably very similar to his food service at home.
For all of Dee's needs, Frank offers her $10K for a new wardrobe, new apartment
and a trip? Damn! And to think he saved $10K in his retirement account alone and in a matter of what...2-3 years?! (Pssst....don't take it, Dee.)
Poor Jack. Everyone...and I do mean EVERYONE knows about his impotence except him. Even when/if he recovers, Mary requests that Alex not tell him. Nothing like watching friends and family members whispering/giggling/pointing in your presence, not knowing what the topic is.
"Ewww Factor" of the day: Maeve telling Mary about her and Johnny's sex life. That's just wrong!
Is that white cat figurine on the back table in the Ryans' parlor Julie Rose... reincarnated? Recycled? (meow)
Jill confirms her positive pregnancy test with a visit to Ed's buddy for a pelvic exam. (Yeah, right.) Anyway...this doctor's office is Nell's old office and also the Doctors' Lounge...same layout, light switch, windows (or fenestrations...a la Kenneth). Is that a charcoal drawing of the back of a nude woman on his office wall? Plus, Jill plants a kiss on his cheek as she leaves. A pelvic exam and THEN a kiss? Foreplay in reverse? How creepy! I guess the name of Dr. "Wolf"
is appropriate.
Dee to Mary, after asking her to babysit LJ: He will be "under his crib. He has all his trucks and he'll just be playing around for a while."
Under his crib? ;D
